Innovative Electronics Pty Ltd - a company established in 1982.  Innovative Electronics offers clients the benefits of 25 years of expertise in spacecraft communications and spectrum management.

A very broad range of services can be provided in spectrum management, with particular focus on the Asia Pacific region.  The principal, Richard Jacobsen (engineer and MBA) has extensive experience at the national, regional (Asia Pacific) and international (ITU-R) levels as outlined below.

Richard Jacobsen has served as a Deputy Director of the largest Deep Space Network station in the Southern hemisphere - NASA's Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, Australia. He has also held many official positions within the ITU-R and APT as follows:

  • Rapporteur for Science Services to WRC-97 and WRC-2000.
  • Vice-Chairman of ITU-R Study Group 7 from WRC-2000 to WRC2007.
  • Chaired many Working Groups and Drafting and Ad-Hoc Groups.
  • Australian delegate representing the Science Services to five WRC's.
  • Coordinator/lead for many WRC agenda items within Australia.
  • Convenor/organiser and Chairman of 3 meetings of the Space Frequency Coordination Group in Australia.
  • Participant to numerous Asia Pacific Telecommunity PG meetings, chairing many drafting group meetings.
  • Chairman of Australia Radiocommunications Study Group 7 for approx the past 20 years.
